Laura engages the viewer with her contemporary and intuitive approach to color, shape, form, composition and texture.  The selective use of vibrant colors is the signature of her artistic expression.

Growing up in the midwest, Laura's love of art began at a young age when she attended the Toledo Museum of Art as a young person taking classes in drawing and painting as well as many other forms of visual arts.  Her favorite classes were those where she would receive her assignment and the instructor would allow students to choose a spot in the museum to work.

She considers it a privilege to have sat among the great works of art where passers by would comment on what she was working on as she listened to docents discussing art pieces with visitors.

Laura's formal education is in nursing and throughout the years has attended art classes and workshops to find her visual voice.  Painting allows her to use her creative talents to maintain a healthy work life balance.
